In Mumbai, over 90 animals, including birds and reptiles, were rescued due to heat-related distress. The rescue operation was conducted by the forest department and NGO Resqink Association for Wildlife Welfare. These animals will be treated and then released back into their natural habitats. The cases of rescued animals have increased in the last five years, with more than a dozen rescued this month alone.
