💨 Abstract
Amity University-Mumbai's spinach callus tissue has shown growth in the POEM-4 module, orbiting the earth at 350 kms. This is a significant milestone in space biological research, as it marks the first time plants are growing in space under microgravity conditions. The decision to use callus tissue instead of seeds allows for easier tracking of growth changes and health through color monitoring.
