💨 Abstract

BJP MP Alok Sharma has proposed exploring Bhopal's Upper Lake for signs of a submerged 'Vedic city'. He made this suggestion at a meeting of a parliamentary committee on urban affairs, claiming the lake may hold towers and a ghat from a pre-Raja Bhoj era. Raja Bhoj, a 11th-century ruler, is believed to have built the lake.
