BJP Tamil Nadu president K Annamalai vowed to walk barefoot and flog himself in protest against the DMK government, alleging that the ruling party was apathetic towards the sexual assault of an Anna University student. The accused, Gnanasekaran, was claimed by Annamalai to be a DMK office-bearer, a charge denied by the law minister.
