In Puducherry, a third child has tested positive for Human metapneumovirus (HMPV). The child, who had symptoms of fever and cough, was admitted to JIPMER hospital and is recovering. The Puducherry government has prepared infrastructure in two state-run hospitals to manage the situation. Earlier, two children had also tested positive for the virus.
