💨 Abstract
In Odisha, armed police forces are being deployed to help forest personnel patrol poaching-prone areas of Similipal Tiger Reserve. The move comes after the suspected killing of a melanistic Royal Bengal Tiger in November. Ten people have been arrested in connection with the tiger's death. The police are providing two platoons of armed forces for joint patrolling and flag marches to counter poaching.
