💨 Abstract
Self-styled godman Asaram, convicted in a rape case and serving a life sentence in Jodhpur, has moved a plea in the high court for interim bail granted by the Supreme Court on medical grounds. This is the first major relief he has received since his arrest in 2013. The Supreme Court relief will not immediately allow him to leave jail as he is also serving a life sentence in a separate rape case.
