Professor Upasana Mahanta, an academician from Sivasagar, became the first Indian to join the Strategic Higher Education Advisory Council (SHEAC) of Cambridge International. She is the dean at O.P. Jindal Global University. The SHEAC, consisting of leaders from top global universities like Oxford, MIT, and Cambridge, helps shape the global recognition of Cambridge qualifications. Mahanta's academic work centers around law, gender, and social justice.
