In Ayodhya, Muslims have been organizing the Ramlila, a Hindu celebration, for over six decades in the Muslim-dominated locality of Mumtaz Nagar. The Ramleela Ramayana Samiti, established in 1963 to promote communal harmony, funds, directs, and employs Muslim artists for the 10-day event.
