💨 Abstract

The National Medical Commission (NMC) revoked the permission for Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME) to run an MBBS course for the 2025–26 academic session due to inadequate facilities and infrastructure. This decision follows protests in Jammu over the institute's admissions process, which saw 42 Muslim students from Kashmir admitted out of 50 seats.
