The National Commission for Women's (NCW) fact-finding committee reported that the Bhopal college sexual assault and blackmail case involved coercion for religious conversion and potential organized crime. Students were drugged, assaulted, and blackmailed with videos, with accused students allegedly linked to drugs and trafficking due to their lavish lifestyles despite modest backgrounds. The NCW recommended further investigation, statewide inquiries, and stronger institutional oversight.
