💨 Abstract
The Patna High Court has criticized Bihar government officials for their alleged involvement in the total liquor ban, stating that they benefit financially from it. The court also accused the police of colluding with liquor smugglers, leading to the suffering of the poor. The ban, enacted in 2016, has reportedly given rise to unauthorized trade of liquor and other contraband items.
