The Bihar government suspended the officer-in-charge of a women's shelter home in Patna where three inmates died and several others fell ill due to contaminated food. The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) reported adulterated spices, including lead chromate in turmeric. Twelve employees have been relieved due to negligence, and the supplying firm is being blacklisted.
