Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has accused the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh of failing to prevent custodial deaths, following a recent case in Sambhal where a man died after being taken into police custody. The man's family claimed he was not allowed to take essential medicines, but police denied the allegation, stating that the incident was captured on CCTV and that he was allowed to take his medicines.
