💨 Abstract
In Amritsar, 26-year-old Kaka and 20 others died after consuming spurious liquor. The victims, aged 26 to 80, were mostly from lower-income backgrounds. Kaka's father blamed the availability of cheap, toxic liquor. The incident is one of the worst hooch tragedies in five years. Punjab Police have suspended officials for negligence and arrested 12 people, including the alleged kingpin of a spurious liquor syndicate.
