💨 Abstract

A conservation campaign to protect Himalayan meadows, known as bugyals, was launched in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand. The campaign, named Bugyal Bachao Yatra, began with a seminar on the conservation of high altitude pastures. The campaign aims to address the threats posed by uncontrolled tourism and climate change to the meadows.
