Anil Chauhan, the Chief of Defence Staff, has inaugurated residential accommodation and a main distribution sub-station at a naval base in Karwar, Karnataka. The residential accommodation houses senior sailors of the Indian Navy, while the sub-station provides power to operational piers, accommodation, and utilities. The project is part of Project Seabird Phase IIA, aimed at supporting the berthing of numerous ships and submarines at Karwar.
