A first-of-its-kind centre for battling internet and technology addiction among children and youth will be established at AIIMS, Delhi. The Centre for Advanced Research on Addictive Behaviours (CAR-AB) aims to develop evidence-based interventions and resources for prevention, screening, early detection, and intervention for technology-related addictions. The centre also plans to create an AI-based predictive model to detect vulnerability to excessive technology use among youth.
