Civil society organizations from three northeastern states have called for the merger of two central government agreements with the NSCN(IM) and a conglomerate to resolve the longstanding Naga political issue. The Framework Agreement was signed with NSCN(IM) in 2015 and the Agreed Position with the Working Committee of Naga National Political Groups (WC-NNPGs) in 2017.
