On January 17, cold weather continued in Punjab and Haryana, as reported by the meteorological department. Pathankot in Punjab was the coldest at 2.8 degrees Celsius, while Amritsar was three degrees above normal at 6.9 degrees Celsius. In Haryana, Ambala and Rohtak recorded 8.5 and 10.1 degrees Celsius respectively.
