The Congress appointed Uday Bhanu Chib as the new president of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), succeeding Srinivas B V who held the position for over five years. Chib, a former president of the Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress, was serving as the IYC's general secretary. The outgoing president Srinivas B V's tenure was marked by significant relief work during the Covid pandemic.
