Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma mourned the death of Ratan Tata, recalling the Tatas' aid during COVID-19 and their support for a grassroots football program. Despite never visiting Meghalaya, the state benefited from Tata Trust's initiatives. Tata was remembered for his philanthropic work, kindness, humility, and simplicity.
