💨 Abstract
Contractual employees of Punjab Roadways and Pepsu Road Transportation Corporation in Punjab launched a three-day strike on January 6, demanding regularization of their jobs and a salary hike. Around 2,800 buses stayed off the roads, causing commuters to be stranded at bus stands across the state. The strike involves approximately 8,000 contractual employees and demonstrations are being held at all 27 bus depots.
