💨 Abstract

Police driver Arun Chitte, who died during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, was posthumously promoted to Assistant Police Sub Inspector (ASI). Chitte, who drove for senior police inspector Vijay Salaskar, was killed by terrorists Mohd Ajmal Kasab and Abu Ismail. The promotion was announced on June 1, with his family receiving the order at the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office.
