💨 Abstract
On May 14th, a 41-year-old traffic police constable, Mithun Dhende, died after being knocked down by a truck on the Mumbai-Pune highway in Pune district. Dhende was trying to stop the dangerously driven truck. The driver, Rohan Khan, and his assistant, Umar Mohammad, pretended to pull over but then deliberately rammed into Dhende and fled. The constable was pronounced dead at the hospital.
