A court in New Delhi convicted a woman running a beauty parlor in Jamia Nagar for electricity theft. The woman, Shaheen, was found guilty of illegally tapping electricity from a BSES pole using an unauthorized cable. The court noted evidence from property dealer Zafar Abbas, who testified that Shaheen had rented his mother's property for a beauty parlor and promised to arrange the electricity herself.
