💨 Abstract
Kolkata Police Commissioner Manoj Verma visited R G Kar Medical College and Hospital on Sunday, a day before the Supreme Court hearing a rape-murder case of a post-graduate trainee doctor at the facility. The visit follows a mob attack at the hospital in August and recent assaults on doctors and nurses at other state-run hospitals. Junior doctors plan to resume total 'cease work' if their safety and security concerns are not addressed during the hearing.
