An elderly man identified as Ananth Ramachandra Akubathin (69) was found decomposed near a bus depot in Mumbai on March 11. The cause of death is yet to be determined, but police suspect he may have died from natural causes or could have been murdered. He reportedly had a drinking problem and lived with his brother in Pratiksha Nagar. The police have registered an accidental death report and are currently investigating.
