The Delhi High Court has ordered the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to start demolishing illegally constructed structures obstructing the renovation of Taimoor Nagar drain in southeast Delhi from May 5. The court also directed authorities to expedite desilting and garbage clearance, and called for an investigation into how such structures were permitted. A joint inspection by residents, MCD, special task force, and DDA is scheduled for May 18.
