💨 Abstract
Delhi, along with other cities worldwide, saved 269 MW of power during the Earth Hour on March 22 by turning off non-essential electrical appliances. The lighting around India Gate was also switched off. Last year, Delhi saved 206 MW during the Earth Hour, under the World Wide Fund (WWF) to promote environmental awareness. Both BSES and Tata Power-DDL consumers contributed to the power saving effort.
