💨 Abstract
The Election Commission has approved the Jharkhand government's proposal to appoint Alka Tiwari as the chief secretary of the state, which will hold assembly elections in two phases. Tiwari, from the 1988 IAS batch, is the senior-most officer in the cadre. She holds a psychology degree from Meerut University, an MSc from the University of Manchester, and has completed courses at Harvard and Duke Universities.
