💨 Abstract

In Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district, 35% of state-run primary schools have fewer than 50 students. The survey also found that many schools are in poor condition and lack qualified teachers. The Basic Education Department has sought an explanation from the district administration, and plans to transfer teachers from under-enrolled schools to schools with high student-teacher ratios.
