💨 Abstract

In Bulandshahr, UP, eight individuals were arrested for pelting stones at the police during a protest against the detention of some community members, who were demonstrating against a controversial statement by a self-styled godman. The police intervened earlier in the day to disperse the crowd and made some arrests. The local authorities are monitoring social media to prevent the spread of misinformation and have deployed additional police force to maintain law and order.
