In Yellapura, Karnataka, eight fruit vendors were killed and ten others injured when the truck they were traveling in fell into a 50-meter-deep valley. The accident happened while the driver was attempting to give way to another vehicle. The victims had started their journey from Savanur and were headed to the Yellapura fair. The injured were taken to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi.
