In Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, eight Naxalites were killed in a confrontation with security forces on Saturday. The encounter took place during an anti-Naxalite operation involving local and central forces. An Insas rifle, a barrel grenade launcher, and other weapons were recovered from the scene. This is the 50th such incident this year resulting in the death of Naxalites in the state.
