In Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, at least eight Naxalites were killed in an encounter with security forces on Saturday. Two DRG personnel were injured. An INSAS rifle, a barrel grenade launcher, and other weapons were recovered. The operation was launched after receiving information about the presence of Maoist cadres in the area.
