Pune reported eight new suspected cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), bringing the total to 67. GBS is a rare immunological nerve disorder that causes sudden weakness and numbness, often due to bacterial or viral infections. The state health department has set up a Rapid Response Team to investigate the sudden rise in cases and ensure treatment and recovery for most patients.
