💨 Abstract

A swarm of honey bees attacked devotees at the Ekvira Devi temple near Lonavala in Pune district, India, on Wednesday. The attack occurred during New Year celebrations when some devotees set off firecrackers. The smoke from the crackers may have unsettled the bees, causing them to attack. Several devotees suffered injuries and swelling, and four officially reported their injuries to the police.
