💨 Abstract
Central government employees are entitled to a maximum of 42 days of special casual leave for organ donation, as per a government order issued in 2023. The leave duration is irrespective of the type of surgery for organ removal and can be availed starting one week prior to the surgery with a recommendation from a government-registered medical practitioner. The leave is normally to be taken in one stretch starting from the day of admission to the hospital.
