In Thane, the family of Akshay Shinde, the accused in a sexual assault case, claims police killed him in an "encounter" and demands justice. Shinde was shot dead on Monday after allegedly snatching a policeman's gun during a probe. His kin alleged it was a police conspiracy and claimed he was beaten up in custody and sent a chit seeking money.
