Former BJP leader Rakesh Chaudhary died on Tuesday after allegedly consuming a poisonous substance, and his wife is hospitalized with a stable condition. The incident occurred late on Monday night after Chaudhary returned home from a wedding ceremony. Police are investigating the matter further. Chaudhary had previously unsuccessfully contested elections as an independent candidate and under the BJP banner.
