In Odisha's Bhadrak district, a woman named Minati Parida (54) died after being stuck in an old elevator at the district headquarters hospital. The district administration announced a compensation of Rs 6 lakh for her next of kin and directed the Road and Building division officers to install a new lift immediately. A committee led by the Bhadrak sub-collector will investigate the incident, and action will be taken based on its report.
