India's palm oil imports are projected to hit a near five-year low in January due to negative refining margins and the tropical oil's premium over competitors, leading to a shift towards more competitively priced soyoil. Imports could drop to about 370,000 metric tons in January, compared to an average of over 750,000 tons in the previous marketing year.
