Fadnavis calls up Beed SP, SIT chief; tells them sarpanch murder case accused must not go unpunished

Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis has directed the Beed Superintendent of Police and the SIT investigating the murder of Massajog sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh to ensure the guilty are not spared. Deshmukh was killed in December for preventing an extortion bid on a windmill project. Seven people have been arrested for the murder and three for the extortion case.
