On April 2, a fire broke out in a furniture shop in Pimpri-Chinchwad township, Pune district. The flames spread to a nearby residential building, necessitating a rescue operation. Three women were rescued from the second floor and taken to a hospital. Eight to ten fire tenders were used to extinguish the fire, and a cooling operation was underway to prevent flare-ups. The cause of the fire is unknown.
