The Himachal Pradesh Forest Department has captured the first photographic evidence of the elusive Woolly Flying Squirrel in Miyar Valley, Lahaul and Spiti district. The discovery was made during a camera trapping survey conducted between October and December 2024, as part of the Snow Leopard Population Assessment in India initiative.
