đ¨ Abstract
The Kerala High Court has ruled that foreign organizations need central government permission to conduct surveys in India. The decision was made while disposing of a case against an Indian company that conducted a survey in Thiruvananthapuram in 2010, allegedly aiming to hurt the emotional feelings of the Muslim community. The survey was carried out by the Indian company Taylor Nelson Sofres PLC for US-based Princeton Survey Research Associates.
