Four police personnel were killed in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district. Head constable Jagbir Singh, selection grade constables Tariq Ahmad, Balwinder Singh Chib, and Jaswant Singh were among the deceased. The last rites were held with full honours, and officers vowed to eliminate terrorism from the region. Two Pakistani terrorists were also killed in the operation.
