Goa's Legislative Assembly Speaker, Ramesh Tawadkar, threatened to resign on Tuesday, alleging disrespect from ruling bench members. He accused some ministers in the Pramod Sawant-led cabinet of making disrespectful statements against him. Tawadkar, a BJP MLA, alleged that he had previously complained to Chief Minister Sawant about some ministers not responding to his phone calls.
