In the wake of a stampede at a temple festival in Goa, the health department has announced a "code red" system to be implemented in hospitals for quicker emergency responses. The system will start with Goa Medical College and Hospital and will extend to district hospitals and the Super Speciality Hospital. Two to three critical patients are being closely monitored after the incident, which resulted in six deaths and around 70 injuries.
